Description: I don't like the 1942, and the 1084 is being used to hold up books. Looking for a better monitor, but this one is holding up

rkauer Posts:3263 | February 15, 2008, 06:31:29 AM Hey, wath's wrong with the A1942? I use mine very often. Even with the Mediator (only in 800x600). No space in the desk for two monitors. I know it is not the best monitor in Amigaland, but it is what I can grab. Those multisync monitors are rarer than hen's teeth in this latitudes! |
carls Posts:1047 | June 18, 2004, 11:19:32 AM I think the 1942 was one of the best multisync monitors available. Multiscan: Productivity never looked so good and you could still play all those lovely games and demos without adjusting the image after switching to 15kHz as with many other monitors. Considering when it was made and what it was made FOR, it's quite amazing theat you managed to squeeze 1024x768 out of it - not a bad result for something designed for AGA. |

justthatgood Posts:579 | March 21, 2004, 12:17:44 PM Well when you live in a cornfield, it's hard to get good Amiga stuff (besides, that came with my first Amiga, seller was very adament about getting rid of it.) Once I get Pluto towered up, with the right video card, I'm not worry about it much more. |
csirac_ Posts:154 | March 21, 2004, 07:53:52 AM Ouch, performance-wise the 1942 is positivly the worst monitor I've ever owned. Any old generic 14" PC monitor would have to better :-( IIRC mine barely did 1024x768 at a decent refresh rate. |
