It is because you don't know other alternatives with the horse meat, for example some villages from Palencia, where I live the horse meat is used to make "Cecina" and sausages the cecina is as the spanish ham, you can see here the example of two good manufacturers:

Personally I don't mind the fact I could have potentially been eating horse. If they had put it on the side of the box that there was horse in it, and it tasted nice, it wouldn't have phased me. The only thing that bothers me is that I could have been eating any number of horse drugs. That **** is nasty stuff.

They inject cows with just as nasty drugs tbh. (Steroids, Antibiotics etc)
