Hi Everyone!
« on: November 08, 2005, 06:52:51 PM »
Hi everyone! I've just registered so thought I'd introduce myself.

My name is Steve. I'm 14 and live in the UK. I've been using amiga computers since, well, a bit hard to remember actually, but I'd guess it was 1995/1996 when I used one for the first time. My next door neibough worked at a school which used amigas so I borrowed them during the summer holidays. A couple of years later, they replaced them with Macs, so we bought an A500+ for £50. Last year tghis broke so I got another A500+ for £3 off ebay! It's amazing how cheap these computers can be. This then stopped working and it turns out that the problem with my old amiga was just the floppy drive, so I took the floppy out of the amiga that I got off ebay and the old one worked!

Anyway, that's my amiga story. My current PC is a P3 500MHz and really needs upgrading, so I've been thinking about getting an AmigaOne or something like that. I expect you guys know quite a lot about OS4 and OS 3.9 and the A1 so I might be asking a few questions in the near future.

And if you havn't alread, visit http://www.classicamiga.com. That's a great site and the forums are even better. I've been a member for a couple of years now. It's not very popular, but there's some interesting disscussions on there and we all know alot about amigas. I'm glad I've found this site though as I plan to start using more modern amiga software and hardware, so I assume you lot know more about new amiga stuff than the people at classicamiga.

Steve :-)

The only stupid question is a question not asked.

Win•dows: n. A thirty-two bit extension and graphical shell to a sixteen-bit patch to an eight-bit operating system originally coded for a four-bit microprocessor which was written by a two-bit company that can\'t stand one bit of competition.
