A2000 HardFrame CD-ROM drive woes
« on: May 06, 2007, 08:19:26 AM »
Here are my specs

A2000
3.1 roms
os 3.1
HardFrame scsi controller

I have setup the hard drive and it works great.  I'm trying to get the CD-ROM Drive to work.

Here's what I've done:

I've transfered the CD0: from storage to devs.

I've changed the Device to HardFrame.device

I've comfirmed the id is 2 on the drive and in CD0:

the drive is terminated.

still cant see the drive.  Any ideas what I've missed?

Thanks,
AL

Im sure u are using cdfilesystem...it comes with os3.1
That filesystem not suport lot of drives and controllers
download here the best cdrom set of drivers....idefix 97 and install it:

ok...

I've installed IDEFIX97 and still get no joy.

when I get to the scan program it can't find my cdrom drive on my HardFrame.  it finds my hard drive but won't find my cdrom.

I have checked and double checked these things:

hard drive is set to device "0" and not terminated

the cdrom drive is set to device "2" and terminated

any ideas?

acottrill,

why you not try another scsi cdrom or another drive ...can be a cdrw....maybe your drive is damaged or strange or rare unsuported

Hi,

I've recently installed AsimCDFS 2.0 on an Amiga 2000 with 3.1 ROMS and OS 3.1.

I was able to use a CD-ROM attached to a Supra card. I was also able to use an external CD-ROM attached to a 2091 card.

Just hoping that might help. Don't know.
