Finally turned my hand to troubleshooting my Buddha Flash IDE card using a CF CARD Adaptor. Bit worried my old 4GB IDE Drive will bite it one day soon. Like many people have posted here and on other forums it doesn't work. 'out of the box' with CF Cards I did some research, got onto the Individual Computers Wiki.
http://wiki.icomp.de/wiki/Buddha#Hardware_RevisionsFirst downloaded the latest Rom for my Buddha Flash Gold, and the flash utility for the same card. Not to be confused with the '20 year' flash tool which is different.
Anyway I flashed my Budda Flash to the latest rom: Buddha_ROM_52-101.bin using the flashBUDDHA tool. Reboot, and up came the CF Card straight away.
So in case anyone else had this problem and gave up, suggest you check your rom version.
