@ gazgod

That problem isn't impossible to solve, just contact an Admin at Amibay and I am sure we can sort it out for you, you wouldn't be the first member with a web based e-mail only.

OK and thanks for the comments ;-) I'll see what I can arrange with Rapid. I’m thinking of passing the advert pass you guys first before I post it for submission - Anyone interested?

PS. Somewhere here on A.org there is a huge C= logo. I’m looking for it (And the author...For permission) to use as a backdrop for the advert. I think it was used for a T-Shirt at some point. Can anyone remember where it is?

@WotTheFook:
I appreciate your comments - Agreed, AmiBay should be much safer than Amibench. I was just pointing out the facts why I feel that using AmiBay for role involving people outside the community might be difficult - I personally don't like having to sign up to a website just to use it once

PS. Recycle Bin? I still can't see any *obvious* links...Could you post me a URL?

EDIT: Come to think of it, reading the thread, here might be just as good a place as any. If anyone replies, I'll try to post a item and its location, then sort out anything else by pmail. That is, IF anyone replies to the advert...

@ Hodgkinson

You can't see the Recycle Bin until you sign up and access has been granted by an Admin, it's the way we keep traders out.

Pretty cunning, eh? If traders can't see it, they also can't see what items are offered and abuse the Recycle Bin.

Items in the Recycle Bin sell for just the cost of postage, hence the name and you can see why we would want to keep traders away from nearly free stuff...

Edit: As a goodwill gesture you now have Recycle Bin access.

OK, I've signed in to AmiBay. Any chance of me being granted access to the Recycle bin? (I would say somthing relating to Merlin and Magic, but I won't bother  )

EDIT: Good lord, you really are Merlin - You must of read my mind  The A.org page hadn't even finished refreshing!

Regards,
Hodgkinson.

I'm interested in bits and bobs for the Amigas.

Mainly 4000D at the moment but also got a 500 with 1.2Rom, 500 with 1.3Rom,  2 * 500+ one with GVP Harddrive, several plain 1200s, one towered 1200, the 2000HD I've just rebuilt and finally the CDTV I'm in the process of rebuilding

Like anybody else I guess though - I don't know what I want until I spot it

Merlin - Any chance of giving me access to the Recycle Bin?

I am in Lowestoft - britans most easterly town. If someone in Norfolk/Suffolk wanted to get rid of Amiga equipment, I would certainly pick it up then distrubute to the community with nothing more than a small fee to cover postage (once I picked bits I need!)

Thanks for all your replies.

I'd appreciate it if someone could have a quick look at the *proposed* advert. Its online here in a word document (Of all things).
Let me know if you're willing and I'll drop you the username and password.

Best regards,
Hodgkinson.

EDIT: Doh, file now offline now it's been sent. Forgot to update post.

Put it up as plain text and I'd be willing to look at it.  ;-)

(You could even PM it to me here at A.org...)

Access granted

I know you won't abuse it, because I moderate the Recycle Bin and we only feed meega once a week, to keep him keen...
