@ Hodgkinson
I also feel that I have to answer your comments. You must appreciate that Amibench was set up back in the glorious olden days when Ebay wasn't the place it is now.
Mark's site was fine, but latterly was also wide open to abuse from traders who could profiteer from cheap offers then make a killing on Ebay.
Amibay has been set out from the start to contain any trader abuse of the site. The Recycle Bin, (where freebies etc. are offered) is off limits to traders and the admins do carry out checks and police the site, which is more than could be said for either Ebay or Amibench.
It's your choice if you want to use the site or not, however, if you want a comparatively safe place to trade Amiga items then we feel that we are the place to be the preferred choice.
Signing up provides a measure of reassurance that members are bona fide and also allows trader checking to be carried out to prevent abuse, if you don't like that, don't sign up.
We've only been open since December last and we have over 220 members worldwide already, with no trades going belly-up so far, it's all been 100% positive.
Even accelerators have been going for reasonable prices on Amibay recently, check the posts to see what I mean.
What do you have to lose?
