The more time passes, the more fondly I remember the old adversaries. We're slowly contracting into a dull monoculture as far as everyday computing goes. The days when there were dozens of different platforms all with their unique strengths and weaknesses seemed so vibrant in comparison.
We thought it's was bad: we were wrong!
It was nice and different!
Here in Italy I've got a quite popular retro-encyclopedia full of tests of home computers of the mid eighties!
What a variety!
