Title: Port of Frontier: First Encounters
Post by: AmiKit on March 25, 2007, 01:12:14 PM
Someone did a first step! Is there anyone interested in continuing the development? Read the full post here (http://aros-exec.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=2000&forum=4&post_id=16141#forumpost16141).

If only an aros port is planned, i am not interested.
 For an AOS3.x or MorphOS port, yes! I love this game. :-)

@AmigaMance

No port is planned (read topic at the link). It's just a rough compile done by someone who's not interested in continuing it. The question is whether someone want to pick it up and develop it further.

Considering the game main engine is a 2.5MB x86 assembly blob (actually it looks like it was just disassembled from the original binary) without any comments... No.

This thing will not run on anything else than x86.

Bochs (x86 emulator) has been ported to MorphOS. Maybe the game would run inside that since it was designed to run on 386 PCs.
