Aros on laptops

downloading Icaros right now.   Going to see if I can get the full install booting off my USB memory stick.  From screenshots it looks very elegant.   Is UAE included?  Does Icaros/AROS have a website with a files section so we can download other things?   I would have registered on the AROS exec forum, but yahoo.com email addys not allowed..  oh well.

That is probably the best looking UI in all the "Amiga" like OS's (Amiga OS classic vs AmigaOS 4 vs MorphOS) ..  I ran it thru VirtualBox and it ran fine..I'm going to see if I can get it to load in a USB drive.

WOW... doing a USB CDROM install of Icaros.. MAN!!! This looks FREAKIN SHARP!!! How responsive!   I'm excited!!!

Before he buys a new wireless card he might want to test the atheros driver since the T42 came with 6 different wireless cards.

One error I did find in the install was when I selected for it to create a "Work" volume/partition.  It didnt and asked me to insert Work volume.  I figured it would partition/create it automatically if it didnt exist.   Reinstalling now without a "Work" volume.

You mentioned something about trying wireless drivers.. how would I go about doing that?

Look in Prefs: Network change the device to the atheros driver then goto the wireless tab and change accordingly.  I would be more detailed but I don't have my box in front of me.

It works!!!  Now I have a reason to use this laptop!  Very cool stuff!!!
