Icaros on Dell Latitude C840
« on: October 08, 2012, 03:56:38 AM »
Picked this old laptop at a garage sale just so I could play around with Icaros and see what all the shouting was about.

Have to say, so far, I'm quite impressed.  Installed real easily.  Have to default to the VESA display setting but overall not too bad.

I had picked up an Intel internal wireless card that doesn't seem to be supported.  : (

However, just happened to have a Netgear WG111v3 laying around (don't ask!) and after reading the wireless readme file, installed it and voila' here I am!

Out of curiosity, anyone know if a driver for an Intel WM3822008G is in the works?  Sure would be better if the wireless adapter was on the inside instead of sticking out the back!

Yeah, I noticed wireless isn't exactly high on the list of compatibility but may try one out if I can find one on fleabay.
