Free to a good home
« on: January 22, 2007, 12:21:28 PM »
After thirteen years of trying, I've finally killed my A1200 thanks to inserting a clocking crystal upside down into my Apollo card.  D'oh!

Anyway, I'm reluctant to throw my entire setup in the bin because of the substantial nostalgic investment involved and even though my A1200 is dead, I would take solace in donating any working bits to someone who can give them a good home.

So if anyone is looking for an A1200 Power Tower, complete with PSU then do p/m me. The only condition is that the buyer collects - please note I live in the Hoddesdon area.

Also thrown in will be (and these may/may not be working properly as I have no way of testing them):

1 Mediator 4 PCI
1 Soundblaster 128
2 x 32mb SIMMs (on Apollo 1240 which is defunct but may be repairable)
1 10/100 PCI network card
Eyetech EZ-Key AT keyboard interface
Twister clockport serial interface
Floppy drive and CD/DVD Rom
1 non-functioning A1200 motherboard with 3.1 ROMs
Cecilia for President

Nobody ever wants to ship stuff. Even if they were offered money to do so.    I just had to do that, because nobody did already..
