Whatever it is, it adapts a 44 pin DIP IC to something else with some glue chips.
What is on the underside?
Anything?

It looks like it might be the adapter to use a Picasso IV flickerfixer in an A2000.

AFAIK there is no such adapter, you just plug the FliFi partt of the PIV into the A2k video slot and connect it via ribbon cables. So no extra adapter needed.

@Vlabguy1: which socket does the adapter fit in your Amiga?

The adapter exists (have a few unpopulated PCBs purchased some years ago from the Masta himself). I believe it was for using the PIV flickerfixer with the video slot already occupied.

As I got mine it wasn't packed in a such nice box.
And no instructions - I just guessed how to use it. Luckily it did work.

VT-denise : looks like a buffer for denise outputs for the video toaster...
