A4000 keyboard repair

so got home early this afternoon to enjoy the long weekend here and what do I do before picking the kids up from school? why trouble shoot my A4000 keyboard of course:)

so issue is my W and Enter keys weren't working so open up case and this is what I found AFTER a cleaning:

contact pads were badly rusted so question is what I can I put on them to make sure the rust doesn't come back?? grease, spray lube??

guys my experience with WD-40 is that it's greasy and attracts alot of dust/dirt over time

ok damn this keyboard work taking alot longer than I thought so anyhow good news is that the non working keys are working again with a good cleaning and some WD-40 BUT problem is I have to press quite hard to make contact so next step is to tear down again and put some of that graphite paste orange was talking about.
Looks like the cleaning of the rust wore down quite a bit of the contact pads

ya they seem fine it's the pads on the main board that are the issue
