Shadow of the Beast II WHDLoad?
« on: June 01, 2004, 07:10:05 AM »
Does anyone have this installed and working?  I have it and it will not run on any Amiga config I throw at it.  First config a A4000 030 OS3.9, second A1200 040 OS3.9, and 3rd A4000 060/66MHz OS3.9.  It loads ok but hangs on title screen.  Music plays but pressing joy button does nothing.  It also seems my orignals disks are bad I get a checksum error on track 140 when trying to reinstall the game.

I've got it working perfectly on my os3.9 A1200.  Worked fine since I installed it.

It might be because of the checksum errors.

I downloaded a few versions on the net and all do the same thing!  I have 3 different amigas and the same on all.  Hangs when I press button on "Begin Quest" with music playing... Any ideas?

BAH I tried with PAL tooltype and it works.  BUT the damn game is a NTSC!  Why does this always happen!  I dont mind PAL but if the blasted game is NTSC it should work in NTSC right???!?!??

@TjLaZer
Hello,
  I just got SOTB2 installed yesterday in my A1200/03 WB3.1.(I'll try to test mine), but for the meantime my way to test it is to get a blank floppy disks then UnADF to it. Try to boot from floppy(NTSC/PAL). See if it works. :-)

Good day to all Amigans! :-D

Hmmm, has SotBII been made freeware now? (Serious questiont - I have no idea)
I bought SotBII and III (both boxed in near mint condition :-D ) a few months back, and both work fine with WHDLoad's installer.

When I used my A600 to install WHDLoad games, I had all sorts of weird problems.. but when I used my A1500 to install them, and copied the .slave file onto the A600, all worked perfectly, even though when installing on the A600 WHDLoad never mentioned any errors....

Sounds like you've got a bad dump of the disks, basically.
