Back in the stoneage (somewhere around 1989) there was similar game for the Amiga. Tha box even shows Apple][ screenshots. You had to programm the AI of a tank and test it in a combatarea or against other programmed tanks.
The name of the game was OMEGA and was bublished by Origin. I have the box right in front of me but there is only the handbook in it (around 1.5cm thick pagecount: a few hundred), can`t find the disk :-(
