I feel sick about having to do this. A good friend of mine is in dire straits

he desperately needs to find money this week or he will get evicted.

he has a web site - in which he is selling an e-novel that he wrote.

So, it's not like he's asking for charity. If anyone is interested in reading this interesting and well written (I read, it's very good) novel, feel free to buy it and especially suggest it to someone you think would enjoy it.

He told me he needs to sell 150 novels this week.

If anyone has a any ideas as to who else might be interested in this novel, let me know.

I've got no cash, however, my brother is into this sort of thing and know he has a few bob to spare.

I emailed him about it.

I'm not entirely clear as to why you would feel sick about doing this - he's a mate, he needs help, you are. From my own perspective you are only doing what any good mate should do in such circumstance.

thanks for the good thoughts. And i only feel badly because i hate "begging".

I know this is the sort of book that some would just LOVE to read. My friend did a great deal of research on the personality/character of Sawney Bean and while the historical "facts" are really slim, he constructed a story which seems reasonable.

and it's not about goo and guts and all ichy stuff (in case you are afraid to suggest this to a lady)  :-D

Most of the time you are going around with normal characters trying to understand the, er "odd" goings on.

This story was originally a film script. One of the characters was supposed to be played by the very talented Ian Bannon (I kid you not!). I actually spoke to him on the phone. What an interesting person. unfortunately he was killed in a car accident. What a shame.

In any case, this is an interesting story and well written. Thanks for all the help.
