Amiga/MorphOS/AROS Programmers Forum / Re: ALS, a new graphics system - RELEASED!
« Last post by saimo on June 06, 2023, 06:21:04 PM »
Just released an update.

https://retream.itch.io/als

v2.5 (06.06.2023)
* Updated the documentation: expanded the sprites section in the manual (now it is a full crash course so that also who does not know how sprites work can use them); replaced a leftover <displayed planes number> with ALS_DISPLAYEDPLANESNUMBER; replaced bullet points (·) with asterisks (*).

v2.5 (05.06.2023)
* Removed ALS_GET_LAYER_DEPTH[].
* Renamed ALS_BUILD_DISPLAY_COPPERLIST*[] as ALS_BUILD_COPPERLIST*[].
* Replaced ALS_WAIT_NEXT_FRAME[] with ALS_WAIT_FRAME_END[] (it does the same thing, but it does in a better way, no longer requires the display to be on, no longer uses ADKCON.PRECOMP0 and the name reflects more accurately what it does).
* Added ALS_SET_PLANES_POINTERS_IN_COPPERLIST[].
* Optimized ALS_MAKE_DISPLAY_DESCRIPTOR[].
* Added ALS_DISPLAYEDPLANESNUMBER.
* Speed-optimized a few loops by replacing Repeat...Until with While...Wend.
* Updated demos: used ALS_SET_PLANES_POINTERS_IN_COPPERLIST[] in place of ALS_BUILD_COPPERLIST[] where appropriate; simplified font handling.
* Touched up the comments in the code.
* Revised/extended manual (in particular, added extensive information about using sprites with ALS).

Amiga User Group News / Next FCUG meeting - Sunday, June 11, 2023
« Last post by RobertB on June 05, 2023, 10:39:14 PM »
Happy Kamehameha Day (June 11), C= and Ami aficionados!

The Fresno Commodore User Group has its next meeting from 11 a.m. to 2:30+ p.m., Sunday, June 11 at

Panera Bread Restaurant
3590 W. Shaw Ave. (corner of W. Shaw Ave. and Marty Ave.)
Fresno, CA 93711
(559) 271-0104
http://www.dickestel.com/met_loc.htm

Note that the meeting is on June 11 and not our usual third Sunday of the month (which would be June 18, Father’s Day).

For discussion, we will talk about the latest exhibits and presentations for the June 24-25 Pacific Commodore Expo NW 2023. http://www.portcommodore.com/pacommex We will also talk about the Kickstarter for David Pleasance’s Amiga Global Alliance. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/amigaglobalalliance/announcing-a-brand-new-aga-for-2023-amiga-global-alliance Not only does it benefit Amiga computers but also Commodore 8-bit computers! We will discuss the replacement of legacy chips in the Plus4/C16, including the replacement of the 3-in-1 software that was originally burned into a chip on the computers.

For the VIC-20 with 16K RAM expander, we will go through the programs that come with the eXimietas VIC-20 Chip-8 emulator. Last month we had gotten to the desktop. This month we will run the games that go with it.

For the C128, we will look at the latest version of TRIANGULAR microOS, v1.34.

In Amiga, we bring in Stephen Jones’ A2000 (Amiga OS 3.1) that has a ‘386 Bridgeboard (with DOS 5.0) and an A-Max module (Mac OS 6.0). Three computers in one! This is our last chance to see this machine before it goes back to Stephen.

Who knows? We might even get to my project of putting THEA500 Mini into an Amiga 1200/500 case with the use of the Amiga 500 USB Keyboard Adapter from Retro32!

Truly,
Robert Bernardo

I'm using  3COM 3CCE589ET LAN 10Mbit Ethernet PCMCIA card + MiamiTCP  on PiStorm32 Lite-Emu68 A1200 instead of plipbox.

I recycled my PCMCIA cards from my old laptop PC.

it happens to others in the past and you might search the forum at Amigans.net for a solution unless Amigakit is answering here (A.org belongs to AmigaKit AFAIK).

Mine is on five disks so it won't all be on a single cover disk. However it is on the CD with with CU Amiga Sept 97. The cover floppy disk appears to be a full version in CU though they must have chopped some out I guess dunno.

So maybe search for the CD on say the EAB search facility and see if you can snag an image of the CD.

Sadly this stuff still carries a copyright so I can't copy mine. Good luck.
