Just to be nitpicking a bit, but Monkey Island was a multiplatform-game to begin with, and already back then released on PC. So calling it an Amiga-game is a bit misleading ;)

If the OP called it "Monkey Island" in the first place it would have helped too, for those who are blocked on those links at work and had to wait 8 hours to view them! ;)

Well, it was released  for Amiga, so it was an Amiga game. Not surprised someone would find a away to put a negative spin right away on here though. Regardless hope those with fond memories will enjoy. ;)

Not sure how you see any negative spin in the replies, but you could've made the title a bit clearer. Saying "Monkey Island 2" straight out instead of "old Amiga game" would make it look more interesting, not to mention more informative :)

It took an hour to download last night on Steam, I will try it this weekend when I have time. You get Monkey one and two on Steam.

bloodmoney, I don't see what was wrong with Britelite's clarification and how you felt offended by it. Your informing us about MI2 remake is appreciated by all, I think.

I wish others would remake some classic games. Sierra had some good ones also. I would also love to see M.U.L.E. remade with enhancements. My grandkids still play mule on 64. I have heard there was a simular game on amiga, forget the name.

I would love to see scummVM engine games, also Tearaway Thomas, Toki, Super Cars 2, Alkatraz.
Moonstone would rock on my PS3!

There is so many games I would love to see, tho rights disbutes weather emerged ,splitted companies cant decide who owns the rights to a game would make it hard :(

Edit: Pang would be rock solid in 2players on the PS3!

Steam has loads of good games - AND usually have weekend sales that are amazing. I recently bought Serious Sam (One and Two) for $4.99, and Painkiller (two of them). They also have Bioshock - which an excellent, if somewhat off beat, game.
It's a shame they don't (yet?) offer any in Amiga format...
