So what your saying basically is this is a great boot partition but not a HD replacement.
Read is good, write, not so much!
More like seek is good, read is ok, and write is slow. Only asynchronous transfers are supported which will limit maximum transfer speeds. It is quick but not fast. It should be a reliable and affordable alternative to aging 50 pin SCSI hard drives but there are higher performance options.
