USB and Network printing
« on: April 25, 2015, 09:04:07 AM »
Can anyone guide me to some info on how to set up a printer USB or network. The info in the wiki.amigos.net section sure does not help me. The work network is not even used. Thanks, much

PS I have a number of printers but an HP P2015 USB and HP P3015 network are the ones I would to use

Well, I prefer the Network option as it cuts out the multiple USB cords and close proximity required for multiple printers.  For using the network to access those printers on your intranet, download the LPR.device file (lpr-device.lha I believe) from OS4Depot.org.  Follow its simple instructions and for each printer, save an ENV:Lpr.device set tho each printer's IP address; then to change printers, copy that file to ENV: becore printing.  The contents should look like,  "192.168.0.125 RAW" -- I do this in an Xicon script.

For USB I will answer tomorrow morning; time for sleep.
