Title: Gotek and dos disks on Amiga
Post by: Motormouth on April 03, 2020, 11:04:07 PM
The flash floppy firmware on Gotek Drives in amiga computers has made for an extremely stable useful experience.

I have had only one issue
How does one mount msdos disk images on the Gotek, flash floppy, amiga combo?

I am using a gotek drive with flash floppy v3.13a (previously used v3.7a with the same problem)
Dos disk images don't seem to read properly under crossdos (ie pc0:, pc1:, etc.)

Suggestions?

If it does not work out of the box I would guess that the firmware does not support non-Amiga disk images.

You might succeed a bit further if you change the PC0 mountlist to use trackdisk.device rather than mfm.device. However, trackdisk.device always reads 11 sectors per track. 720K does not divide properly by 11, so the last track of the image might not be readable.
