I frelling hate these online forums. Can't post anything anywhere without reading it somewhere else half an hour later. Maybe I should just become a hermit?

XBox on paper uses a Geforce4 chip, in reality this chip runs at the same speed as a Geforce2mx....

It uses a special version of a GeForce3 core, kind of like a GeForce 3.5.

I don't see the point in comparing this with the latest PC or console specs.
Before we can get the software that would make a difference we need at least a million OS/4 users. In the mean time it makes sense to go for mid level specs and compare what we're getting with the best OS3.9 machine available.
Not too dusty IMHO!  ;-)

Bah, you're obviously wrong ;-)

This is an outrage, there are entry level servers with more CPU power than a low-level Amiga. We can't live with this. Eyetech needs to provide us with at least a gazillion million instructions per second, at no cost and using no power (I need to use it from a penlight battery).

Realism sucks, eh? :-)

Just when I thought I might have to settle on an AmigaOne G3-XE   ;-)

Hope we hear more info soon.

I see an upgrade coming for the Amiga 500 and Amiga 1200, plus a tablet style Amiga.   :-D

I have NO idea of price. We'll all have to wait. But if you really want an XE with a G3 or G4, I would say go for that ;-)

I think my next purchase will be an A1-lite, but I only have the SE from before, so...

Yes tell us the price, but knowing the Amiga market it will be pricey.

this site has moved on to mos only for quite a while now

Hmm, smells like BS to me, given that this is a news item about *shock* *horror* an amiga!!!!

@ Everyone
Amiga.org as far as news sites go is fairly unbiased, covering whatever comes out when it comes out, it's just that Gensai seem to be more active at the moment.

I say fair play to Eyetech for comming up with this, and to Amiga.org for proving my long standing belief in them, and shame on the people here who are helping this polarisation to continue regardless of which side of the fence you sit on.

@the moderators

I'm sorry if this seems a little flamey, its just that I feel that a lot of the flack comming from certain quarters of the comunity is utterly unjustified(and utterly stupid)  given what A.org have done for the comunity in keeping it  informed.

Mod away if you feel necesary, I feel better now  :-D

Inquiring minds want to now. I'm sure the manufacture and reseller{s} really like seeing this kind of demand for a product. We'll just have to wait and see. I know it's not someting Amigans do well. Just hope that development moves right along.
Of course, you could just take it as an advance notice to start saving your pennies, pence, or what have you.
