Hi folks...

I just read this thread an registered for a reply.

Sorry, for my bad english. I hope you will understand me. :-)

I am the programmer and manager of the tot team for about seven years now.

The 3d map will also be for the amiga computers with a 3d card. In fact the first version is already running very slow on a cybervision 64 3D.

Our goal is to keep it running on a ppc system with a 3d graphic card.

Look her for a screenshot of the 3d map:

http://www.eternity-computer.de/phpBB/viewtopic.php?topic=677&forum=27&61

For other screenshots:

So its not true that we want only to develop it for other systems. :-)

Anyway, its right that we could need some more
players on amiga. Actually we have over 300 players from different systems. The amiga players have a share of 50% i think.

We would do anything for selling some more boxes, especially to the english amiga community. The game is fully localised and most of the german users speak english well. So that should be no reason for not buying it :-)

At Tales of Tamar you are buying not the game, you are buying only credits (the rounds). All updates (new graphics,sounds,new game screens) are included in this price. A new concept with not much succes on the amiga market atm. ;-)

And we still search graphicans (2d & 3d), translators (all countries expect german,english and spanish) and one or two java programmers to port ToT.

Ok, your turn...

Regards
Wolfen

@Karlos

Thats a preview from our 3d graphican and it shows our goal for the 3d engine. In fact we want that this map runs on a classic amiga PPC with a 3d card.

Atm the map makes about 3-4 fps on a cybervision 3D and you know how old this card is.

We will see :-)

@Karlos

Yes it works, but there are two problems atm. One is a bug in MOS at CloseScreen. Tales of Tamar cant close the screen on MOS (1.2-1.4). With 1.1 and older it works :-\

The second thing is that the game sometimes hangs on some Pegasos. I found the reason some days ago and this time its a ToT problem (my problem! :-)). Seems to be the anim routines.

But on most machines the game works well. Naturally its important to get the latest update of the game.

Every update is free, because the price of the turns includes also the updates.

Sfmbe!

@lempkee

and dont forget these things:

1) you can save turns if you have vassals or if you make a homepage for ToT. If you are a very successful player you will pay nothing for ToT anymore (in fact if you are emperor.

2) every update is for free! All the new graphics and new features are free if you joined once our game.

3) its not important which client you play. If you want to change the system once just download the client for this system and start a new game.

4) you can save also turns if you advertise for new players and it dont matter from which systems there are. If you have some pc friends just invite them to join the game.

The thing is - If you are doing something for us, you can play the game almost for free. And thats a fair deal i hope. :-)
