Bars & Pipes tool to only allow chords?
« on: February 12, 2007, 01:40:07 PM »
I have found a B&P tool that only lets a predefined number of notes pass through at the same time. By setting this number to 3, only three notes or less can pass through at the same time. If I try to play four notes, it will just send three of them. The fourth note can be piped to another track.

I'm trying to find a tool that is similar, but works in the opposite way: It should not allow less than three notes to pass at the same time. If only two notes are played, none of them should pass through.

Cubase has a tool like that called the MIDI Context Gate. I've tried to browse through the tools that are available for B&P, but I haven't found one yet. Since there are more than hundred of tools to go through, I still have my hope to find one.

Does anyone here know about such a tool, or if it would be possible to create one through the macro tool feature? Otherwise, I think I will try to create a tool like that in C.

You should join the Yahoo Groups bars & pipes mailing list.  I'd bet there is someone there taht could answer this question.
