I tried imagining vampire supporting pci express so SSD's and wifi adapters would work, but instead they decided to support SDHC.

There appears to be no hope at all that they will support pci express in any form factor.

It would be pretty cool to have an fpga based classic amiga that supported pci express 4, sata 3, thunderbolt 3 etc and could run 68060 and ppc software. I don't see it happening any time soon though.
