Hi,

I too have never heard of or seen this disk. I suspect it was a UK special. In the UK there seemed to be a never ending variation of different Amiga 'packs', which we never got in Oz...

I bought my own A500 a few years after my parents bought me a Commodore 64 'Family Pack' for Christmas - that was a great Chrisy! The C64 cost a princely $AU499 back in 1984 - which is equivalent to around $AU1200 in today's wonga!

Ah the memories!

I'd also love to get my mits on an ADF of this demo disk, if only to see how it compared to the 'Introduction' to basic (Part 1) demos on the C64!

Cheers,

Mike.

Is this similar to the Amiga Tutor program that came with the A1000, on the Extras disk?  That program was pretty cool, with the dancing mouse and all that.

I liked the Kaleidoscope program better, though.

When you boot the disk it is credited to several authors, but the copyright on the disk is attributed to Commodore. Since there seems to be a bit of interest in getting hold of this disk, I wonder who we would need to contact to get permission to upload it to Aminet, or BTTR?

I've got an unusual "multi-national" pack with my A500. Bought it in Germany, with UK Keyboard and manuals and Dutch software!?

Beside Workbench and Basic/Extras disks there was also a disk called Stap voor Stap (Step by Step). I still have it somewhere...

I'm curious if it has the same content as The Very First.
A2000, Blizzard 2040ERC, Spectrum (alive again), Masoboshi MC702
A4000, A3640, VLab, A2301

At the time I had an A500+ (that I still own) so "The Very First" disk didn't come. Anyway a friend of mine gave me his disk. It was the Italian version called "Primi Passi" such as "First Steps". It was a very nice graphical tutorial, it was good to shock the friends without Amiga

Now I have also the English version in ADF format. If the license allows us, I can send the file. Let me know!
A1000 - A2000 (020/16) - A3000 (060/50) - A500 - A500+ - A600 - A1200 (030/50) - CDTV - CD32

Yeah, I had that pack too, definitely came with this WB tutorial disk (the WB stuff is the only part I can remember).

Regarding distribution of the disk image, do any armchair lawyers here know if copyright is affected by bankruptcy?

I found a adf copy of The Very First here... https://archive.org/download/CommodoreAmigaApplicationsADF/Very%20First%2C%20The%20%281987%29%28Holz%2C%20Juan%20-%20Horasoft%20-%20A-Ha%29%5Btutorial%5D.zip
I have it on disk too, its good for uses that have never used Workbench before, there are people out there now that never used Amiga before.
Better late then never, ... :)
