I have reported some bugs in XMP for android, particularly in it's MED3 support, but overall it's a decent multiformat mod player.

Have you tried Droidsound yet?

I just can't seem to make heads or tails of the contact list thingy, the on screen keyboard is useless for my fat fingers, the reaction time when tilting is ridicilous.

I actually found the contact manager pretty good. At first it was a bit of a mess when I noticed the fact I had all my old phone contacts and google contacts mashed together. Then I realised you can link them, so that you have one "entry" in your contact list that is a union of all the various phone numbers and email addresses you had for that person. You can unlink at any time if you make a mistake. It even suggests links when it notices similar names etc. After doing that, it was much better. Then, since I use it primarily as a phone, I told the list manager to only show contacts with phone numbers and all was good.

A bit off topic, but I recommend Ethereal Dialpad and Etherophone if you haven't run across them yet, fun little noisemakers, theremin-style.

The most annoying thing about Android is that you have to dial up a number to collect your voicemail.  It's a drag after using iPhone and just having the voicemail on the phone.
