Hi blobrana
have they any idea where abouts it will collide/hit and what sort of damage could it do? or is it too small and will just burn up in the atmosphere :-o
If it burns up will we be able to spot its trail from the UK?

Hi,
luckily it is small.
Perhaps 2 to 6 meters.
Unfortunately we don't know where exactly it will hit, nor what its composition is, (hopefully it is not metallic).  But,  likely it will just burn up in the atmosphere.
Just have a look around that time for a sonic boom or flash of light.

I made a quick skyplot for you...

Hum,
The probability for impact is between 99.8% and 100%.

The impact location has been narrowed down to 21N, 33E, at 2:46 UT, which is in in northern Sudan.
The asteroid will track from the northwest, so observers in Europe, northern Africa could possibly see the atmospheric entry phase.
Depending on the composition, the atmospheric impact and breakup should release ~ 1 kiloton of energy,  (The size has been narrowed down to 2 - 4 metres).

Lessee, if we could harness that kiloton of energy...asteroids as a new energy source ?

But what happened to the asteroid?

Did it hit earth, did it burn up or did some improbability device turn it into a whale?
