I don't know why it is but when I think of Kazaa I think
SPYWARE. Not that I know anything about this Prog.
I wonder if there'll have to be a lite version ? ;-)
Seems too good to be true, whats the catch ?
Maybe Kazaa has changed their ways ?
All I can say is, I don't Trust them. :-D

Ive installed it and i am scanning for spyware using adaware 6 and spybot .It seems no spyware at all got installed both programs report nothing. :-)

Interesting, i be curious on how the sound quality holds up against msn 6 as that seems pretty good quality.
Just for voice chat though, Trillian for everything else :-)

Well, someone named Dexter tried to talk to me 1:25 hour later. I could hear him quite clearly, but I couldn't talk to him. I don't know if my microphone works, I'll try plugging in the other jack that it has. WOW!!!!

This is the piece of software we certainly need! The voice quality is superb, and very easy to use the program.
The linux platform got its port recently, so I hope to see this proggie for our AMiGAs too :hammer:.
There is a platform independent solution for calls over INet, and it is called Speak Freely (http://ftp.unina.it/pub/aminet/comm/net/SpeakFreelyUPD.readme) but its command based only and has a rudimental arexx GUI.

Actually, guys...
Skype's been out for ages (at least a year and a half... maybe two years or more) yet it's never really caught on nearly as much as all the original hype would make it out to have...

:-) Well it happens to use Skype for quite a long time now (on my PC unfortunatelly), but yesterday I spoke with a friend of mine who is a Linux fanatic! He used the linux version of the program and was pretty cool. The last time I visited http://www.skype.com , there were only M$-clients (maybe for Macs also) but no other OS support.
It would be like instant-messaging prorams (msn,icq etc.) to be a platform-independant way of communication (jabber), but supporting voice!!! And the quality is optimal!
I didn't use it as a phone replacement, just PC<->PC to cut the international-call costs down.
