No more Emulator for me - Want an Amiga

The whole Geohot thing is very iffy. Sony are out to prove he was actively promoting piracy. As far as I understand it, they are trying to get him on that, rather than say he has no right to alter a piece of equipment he owns rather than licences. After all you bought your PS3, it's yours, not sony's. The network you try to play on, that's a different story. Anyway, a bit OT

Listen,noone here posted links to cfw or something,sony hunts users for doing cfw(and sony is not a good company btw for doing this)

If i drop my ps3 from ten floors down the floor will sony come and arrest me,for doing harm to something i bought???

What right do they have to stop people from doing cfw ?I see you are ready to post "piracy",but here NOONE did piracy,all they did was to post an emulator for a machine capable of running homebrew.

I am very carefully following the rules of the amiga.org i didnt post links to cfw publicly but I WAS the one who posted on the news the links for the uae emulator for cfw 3.55.

Unless you are a Sony boss or something i dont see any reason for you to have any problem with a user wanting to go to CFW.

For your tv output I suggest you get the Amigamaniac SVHS adaptor works great and flicker free on LCD TV's.

wow.. just wow.  If you are recommending ANYTHING other than a 15khz RGB display he might as well be sticking with WinUAE !  LCD / Plasma is ass for any retro system.

Get a C= 1084s-D RGB monitor and you will be in pure bliss looking at those sexy pixels.

A proper 1084 IS very nice for an amiga display.
 
But they are also dying at an unfortunate rate, due to age.

Another option would be checking on craigslist (if you are fortunate to be in a large area).  NEC CRT Multisyncs are very very nice displays.  People snatch them up all the time on the arcade mame forums.  Usually you will find business' offering them for less than $40 for 20 inch displays and just want to get rid of them.  NEC multisyncs have RGB input.

Only the 500, CD32 and 2000 are a bit ugly, the 4000 has no style but the rest look nice to me

That would be my fault, sorry. believe me it wasn't my intention, just wanted to help you with what experience I have had. I found it extremely boring to sit on PC running WinUAE but found a cosy way for me to run Amiga-software.
As Amiga isn't really up for office work anymore, I myself think it more of an retroentertainmentbox novadays.. and at least I want to have my entertainment in livingroom (or bedroom, if I get lucky ;-))

Eer.. why to have bootable iso when you can have it all on PS3 harddrive always, doesn't make sense to me. I actually went a bit further, I have a usb-stick with a couple hardfiles if I want to play with AGA.. and a couple directories of ADF's and exes so I can run a demo or a game in a few seconds when I want.

USB stick because its easy to add/edit/remove files when necessary, plus I didn't find hardfile on harddrive much faster. I could do the same via FTP of course but USB-stick is just so simple and quick for this particular task.

If someone is going to suggest using a hacked ps3 then they should point out the downsides.

If you think it's not illegal to hack a ps3 because geohot did not get arrested then go ask him to hack any sony product and see what he says .

I am proud to have my A1200 on my TV stand it full view, and my A4000 squeezed next to my Mac......they are there easy to use when I want them, and people come and say.....'Wow! Yeah I remember them, you use that?'....Yeah wanna go?......I don't want to hide my Amiga's!
