UK Guys.  Remember the second Oric 8 bit.  the Oric Atmos.
It's held its value well. I always thought it was a great looking machine and envied its keyboard: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RARE-ORIC-ATMOS-48K-ORIGINAL-BOX-FOAMS-MANUAL-TAPES-ETC-/311390206334?nma=true&si=Zga0vbr5dNUonjQJRDqgYQb3Ba8%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Holy crap, for the price I expected it to be decked out in upgrades, PPC, etc.  But no, it's an A4000D.  Pretty much exactly like I bought a few years back for 400 bucks, though this one looks like it is cleaner than mine was, still need to whiten mine up a bit.

But still...

Yeah a tad excessive. But it has been capped and is standard decked.  Could have had an SSD or CF Card kit though. Very clean. Someone has bid, so I guess that's what it's worth.

How do you prove it isn't BNIB though. Open it up and check for dust or wear on the floppy heads?

Says it's relisted my end, yet I can't access it.

Yes with a few accounts you can minipulate ebay.  " New ebayer who backed out of the purchase" is a good way to drum up interest but dodge the commission. Now at 5.5k euros.

LOL it's listed as "For parts, not working".  Then in the description says "working according to previous owner".  No risk there at all.

Don't think the price is outrageous though.

Here's someone greedy, trying to cash in on the long waiting list. Selling a Vampire II 600 for $699 Canadian / about $550 US.

An item is worth exactly what 2 fools say it's worth, a buyer and a seller!

Ain't it the truth...

Dunno about the fool bit. But otherwise Yes. That's the basis of the "western" world. Capitalism.

If someone is willing to pay as much. That is simply "what it is worth". All other views are rendered invalid at the point of transaction. Worth is not a communal thing. It's the view between the seller and the buyer.
"Worth: equivalent in value to the sum or item specified"

@spaceman88. Crazy indeed. But clearly what it's worth.

Well I guess if nobody buys them, they are BS prices.  But if somebody does....

How about an AT A1200 for $999 Australian?  : https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Recapped-Amiga-A-1200-4g-CF-Card-Latest-3-1-Roms-With-3-1-4-Installed/143356287308?hash=item2160b3594c:g:nhAAAOSwFKldRWx-
