Making E-UAE run faster/compatible (Help)
« on: October 27, 2010, 06:39:11 AM »
E-UAE runs perfectly for most games, but there are still 1 or 2 games that slow down. Demos tend to slow down more.

Also, if i run it from a window it tends to run slower, but on full screen it is mostly good.

The CPU usuage goes over 100% in cases where there is slow down.

Should i save up and buy a CPU upgrade?

Or

Wait for a better version of E-UAE?

My system is a 466Mhz G4 Power Mac with the 16MB ATi Rage and 640MB of ram. There is no way anyone in the world can say that it cant emulate at perfect speed all the time any 68000 or 68020 7Mhz or 14Mhz Amiga.

What games slow down?
Earth has a lot of things other folks might want... like the whole planet. And maybe these folks would like a few changes made, like more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and room for their way of life. - William S. Burroughs

What games slow down?

Midnight Resistance [Slows down badly during SFX, but music is fine]

Risky Woods during game play gives choppy sound and graphics

Street Fighter II (Slight slow down sometimes)

I am sure there are 1 or 2 more but i cant think of them right now.

[Emulated Amiga 500 @ Full screen]

Games that would not work at all: Zool, Shadow Dancer, Golden Axe and a few more.

Why is E-UAE so crappy... No GUI, Slow downs, incompatibility. :(
