As you know I created a new label to create games and software for the Amiga and compatible software called Amiten Software, whoever you know that the doors are open and everybody are welcome to colaborate with us. The site where the projects are developed is the Amiten (http://amisoft.freeiz.com)Software (http://amisoft.freeiz.com).

I don't know the vic20 game, but the ship is the Vic Viper from Gradius/Nemesis from Konami.*Even the powerups are the same.*Was that on purpose?.
By the way, looks cool.
-
Looking nice Amiten, I hope an artist gets on board to give you new graphics, then you you'll have that original touch. Those rotating asteroids look very cool.

@thecrow

Anders commented on your Youtube video so I took the initiative to message him to ask him if he could kindly point us to a link where we could run this game on VICE emulator.
Hopefully he will see the hundreds of VIC20 gameplay videos I have uploaded and respond :)

Thank you, works a treat.

I played the game a little, I really think the main graphic on the VIC-20 game resembles the MK2 Viper from Battlestar Galactica. If you would like me to do some renders just PM me with the size of image you need for the sprites and how many frames/of what position etc and I am happy to do that for you.

Another graphics rip-off?
So are you saying IF I ever finish my 1 level demo of Gradius/Nemesis (Konami) game for the Amiga you wouldn't like it because I will be using sprite/background rips rather than rubbish interpretations of the original arcade graphics?

The topmost pic is of Orion Nebula likely from Nasa and thus freeware at least.
But certainly the (C) graphics has been licensed...

Yes. Nothing turns me off a project faster than when the graphics department consists of Google Image Search. You could at least use these things as a base and do your own interpretations.

Licensed or not (for me) is lame make a game with backgrounds from internet, is like make a strip poker game scanning playboy magazines.

I respect all opinion but
It´s very easy if you think like that when the game is finish don´t download for play.

And we wonder why nobody bothers making games for classic Amigas now...

That's one way to get more "members".

Can anyone help with redrawing the graphics? Amiten is not a company - just a bunch of guys/gals interested in producing new games for the classic Amiga. Reusing old sprites may not seem professional but it's certainly a quick way to get *something* together when you lack a GFX artist.
-
I think there are people more interested in giving up the ass that support a group of people just trying to bring something to the Amiga community.
and as TCMSLP says we are not a company.
quiet is the last time I bother to advertise anything about Amiten Software on this page full of envy and bad people (not all but many).
