StarCraft II
« on: July 29, 2010, 03:37:02 AM »
Hey! :)

I bought StarCraft II for PC the midnight between the 26th/27th! Been waiting for kind of *a decade* (no kidding!) for this game, and I have pretty much been playing it around the clock since then. Long live summer vacation! :)

Incredible Game if you ask me! :)

I had completely forgotten about it until last week. Bought it today, the first "new" game I've bought in years. It feels very different from the first game, but the evolution from Warcraft 3 is easy to see. Not sure what I think about it yet.

The DRM and online lockouts are infuriating, though. I"ll probably crack my own copy as soon as someone figures out how.

There are some really excellent games on the Windows platform these days. I enjoy being able to use the mouse & keyboard, OR the X-Box controller.
This is not the only platform I use, but it has sure changed over the years...
A2000 GVP 40MHz \'030, 21Mb RAM SD/FF, 2 floppies, internal CD-ROM drive, micromys v3 w/laser mouse
A1000 Microbotics Starboard II w/2Mb 1080, & external floppy (AIRdrive)
C-128 w/1571, 1750, & Final Cartridge III+

I've temporarily lost interest in sci-fi, they waited to long to release it. :madashell:

What is the unit population cap on it? (previously it was 200)
Do they have the leveling for heroes?

I've never been much into the RTS genre, what I'm waiting for is Diablo III :)

These kind of games don't really work well on consoles IMHO. You need to sit upright in front of a computer with keyboard and mouse, not lying on a sofa with some console controller...

I hear ya, I been waiting for it too.  I have not bought it yet and am waiting until last week of August to buy it cause I'm taking College classes during summer and I don't want to fail (I know I won't be able to resist playing it).  I can't wait.
