My advice is to ask this question on aros-exec.org....

To answer your question partially,

None recently
- but not for want of trying...
I had a version running on a Dell D410 a long time ago
- but the networking didn't work...
and it was a challenging install.

Since then I haven't been able to get it installed on any subsequent laptops, primarily because I don't have a USB optical drive, and my recent laptops don't have built in ones, and try as I might I cannot get it to install to a USB stick.

- I've RTFMd and everything, it just won't work for me.

Anyway, tbh imho having the ability to snapshot virtualmachines is a greater advantage than being able to run it directly on metal, and tbh I tend to run AmigaOS 3.1 on WinUAE - rather than AROS - as I can do pretty much everything i WANT to in that environment with no stress and very little hassle...

Don't get me wrong, I think the idea / concept of aros on metal is good, but there are more developers for other OS such as *nix, Windows, OS-x, etc, and bugfixes, vulnerability fixes, software, security tools etc are often more readily obtainable in a more timely manner, and if I could find the right skin / desktop combo for a *nix install, I pesonally don't think I would spend any more time trying to get AROS to work.
I have a busy life and things that "typically just work" are more up my street.

Credit to how far they are getting with developing it, but for me well....
Personally, I'm looking forward to getting my mits on my Amiga 1200 again.
Meanwhile, WinUAE it is.

Talking about laptops has there been any news on the A.L.I.C.E. laptop for the UK and Europe?
