Mounting adf file on floppy or cf card
« on: July 02, 2012, 06:54:06 PM »
Is adfblitzer the best app to mount (write) or create an executable floppy or disk image in a cf card from an adf file?

What is the best way to convert adf files into something executable by the Amiga? Is it best to create floppies or can be converted and saved in a cf card?

To mount ADF files on Workbench you should use Disk Image Device.  http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/diskimage.m68k-aos

Most games need to autoboot and won't be readable so you'll need to write them to floppy although you should be able use a WHDload install to install to hard disk without writing to floppy.

I've not used adfblitzer myself but it should be fine for writing back to floppy.

@ Rob - I'm quite rusted with my Amiga DOS knowledge,as explained in my personal introduction to the forum, so please allow me to ask:

In my case, I have an adf file saved in a cf card. which I can read without any problem with my A1200 equuipped with a PCMCIA car reader Of course,. I also have a working floppy drive.

What would be the steps to follow?
