Thas is a good Corsair PSU, low ripple and 52amps on the 12v rail, that PSU can run any single GPU card on the market (I would bet even most SLI/Crossfire setups). So you got a good solid PSU so go for it
Well since you have a socket AM2 CPU you most likly have the 6xx chipset and then depending on motherboard manufacturer and model (printed in white text on the middelish part of the mobo PCB) you will guaranteed have support for 8GB but odds are you can have 16GBs of RAM (if you only plan to game 8GB will be enough in dual channel, 4x 2GB sticks)Tell me what motherboard you have, cant you find it on the motherboard download and run CPU-Z and it will tell you under the motherboard tab
Even better, congratulations you got a 770 chipset board, you can use 16GB ram and the best part is that you can use Phenom 2 CPUs!The board do not have the best voltage regulators so I would stay away from overclocking past 4GHz, but if you feel like it you can boost the machine with a Phenom II x6 1090T in the future You did a good deal, and you can without trouble expand the machine to be future proof
For a complete system that is a fair price indeed I myself do not like LED fans and such, i prefeer low noise fans like FD and Noctuna and cases with good space for water cooling and alot of space to work with but that's my taste I am happy for you, hope it works great and you can decide what GFX card you want
NO NO NO, take a look at komplett.dk, there you can buy 4x 2GB sticks for 800DKhttp://www.komplett.dk/k/ki.aspx?sku=451110Also 4x4GB DDR2 for 1600 DKhttp://www.komplett.dk/k/ki.aspx?sku=346195I do not know where you are looking for parts but you need to know the good stores Komplett is a good store and is avaliable in Sweden, Norway and denmark DDR2 is getting old so prices are going up.Second hand market is a lot cheeper.
What cofig of ram do you have now? 2x 2GB sticks? If so buy 2x 2GB sticks and it should work You are not in need of more then 8GB ram anyways
@Lassie Do you have any pics of the PC? Would love to see what it looks
You know you have a total of 4GB ram, open the case and look at the ram sticks. do you have two or four sticks in it
4x 1GB in now, you can remove 2x of them and replace with 2x2GB sticks and get 6GB ram as long as same size are in the same channel
Whar web browser do you use? If IE then "internet options" -> "Connections" -> "LAN Settings" -> uncheck Automaticly detect settings and see if the response time gets better.
Same setting applies.
W8 was not my taste at all, I do not like the path Windows is going, but it is usable if you install classic shell http://classicshell.sourceforge.net/, then atleast you get a start menu and classic explorer. Some like W8 some don't, I'm not a fan of the route, neither am I a fan of the Unity shell interface used in ubuntu nowdays but at least I got the option to switch to whatever I want in linux.
