hi all :
i just got original disks+manual of hired guns from ebay.
I select 1 player, training mission, and exploration scenario.
When the player profile comes up, and the character 'Clavius' is on,
I cannot do anything to change the character or advance to the next screen.
I tried using the joystick, the mouse, and the keyboard, but nothing works.
If I press the enter button, it puts Clavius into the first character square on the right,
and I can press the delete key to empty the square. but that is all i can do.
I cannot select all 4 characters or even advance to the game.
Is anyone knows what to do please ?

Do you have at least 1MB of ram?
I looked on the Psygnosis site but didn't find any kind of patch either...

your help was super and now the game works !!!
I did have the manuals, but there is like 3 or 4 of them and I did not look at all of them,
just one of them.
I checked the link you gave me for the manual online, and it clearly stated how to scroll
the characters to change and select them. I just did not look at the right manual.
The game works fine now, and I know what to do to select characters and play the game.
Everything works and I can now play hired guns !!!

Me and my old mate Adam spent weeks playing this game when we were teenagers. He got me onto Settlers too. He knew what a good game was. Hours of fun on Bratwurst too. We hammered those three games. :D
