No, in general its mainly the CPU that generates the most heat, but GFX cards and HD`s under load can also generate a high quantity of heat.

4 fans is a little OTT for the A1 in my opinion, but its your comp so YOU have in it what you want, I`m sure if I open my window I`ll probably hear the whirr from here! ;-)

I'm sure the one on the CPU may be enough..I'll check this out carefully...

@Helgis75

I have my PC in my bedroom, the wife hates it when I leave it on doing something at night, hopefully I`ll be able to banish this PC to the living room instead and use the A1 in all its quiet(er) glory in its place.

Mine will be simpler than that:

AmigaOne XE G4 800 -on its way
kingston registered 512Mb RAM from Eyetech-
512 more than enough for OS4.
ATI Radeon 8500 64Mb DDR DVI TVout - here now.
Both 60 & 40Gb 7200 RPM ATA100 Harddisks -here too.
LG 48x 12x 52x CDRW -already here.
Some kind of CD/DVD reader - Not yet here.
Since XE ones had audio headers,it will became later,
but maybe SB Live!Terratec 512i whathever works better.
nice small keyboard and optical mice, preferably wireless.
:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D:-D

The Tower I have already purchased ready for my A1 has FIVE fans in it !!

Two full size fans are on the Hard drive bays two on the rear & one on the front.. Oh

And one on the clear side window..

Oops.. Thats six !!

Agreed about the noise.. My current set up ( EZtower) sounds like an airport.. So I think i'll just disconnect three of them.

coo ... The gits have made another trendy tower ....
