@Dave:
I know, that AAA would be incompatible to AGA and that the famous 2/8MB Jumper on the A4k-mobo is good for coffee only.
But (my questition) what happen inside if the Jumper is set on 8MB on a 2MB AGA system?
If I understand the blueprints correctly, the chipmem is located BEHIND the first 16MB (at $0100.0000-$01xF.FFFF) with Jumper on 8MB.
And the first 2MB of the these 8MB are mapped/mirrored to the beginning of the memorymap (at $0000.0000 - $001F.FFFF) for compatibility.
So next questiton, if AGA is not able to access the other 6MB memory, is it accessible by the CPU ... some sort of AGA slowmem that can be added by "addmem"?
As a father of the A3000 ... what is Daves thinking about the GBA1000-design?
