Very correct mate.
You just delete the folder that you've installed AfA_OS, you also remove the AfA_OS_Libs folder, C:Morelibspace and C:AfA_OS_Loader (along with their declarations from S-S), the TTF Fonts installed and the skins from Presets iirc. That's all :)

Excellent.  It does help keep my clutter to a minimum.  (I meant to say I was trying to keep my 15 year old installation uncluttered.  Ah, well!)  I think I'll take the leap tonight and install it.  Is anyone aware of any conflicts or issues with wedges like PowerIcons, IconBFast, etc?  I assume (again) the functionality of AfA_OS replaces that of PowerIcons.

I have backups, I just hate having to restore them :)  Anyway, I have been reading the documentation, but lately my mental prowess has been near nill.  Probably not the best time to implement new things, but I am compelled to keep from being bored.

you dont even need to deinstall it, simply comment out the afa_os_loader from your startup sequence, if you dont like afa, and all is back to normal. i would recommend to run powerwindows along with it.

Older versions not working with Tornado3D (v. 2.1 and 3.0), what about 4.7? Has someone tested it?

does tornada work stable on your system, no random crash ?

Do you get with AFA messages as mem corrupt or something ?

AFA do check if memaddress is correct for freemem if not it stop the task, older AOS does silently free mem but amiga crash sooner or later total.

tornado 3d is know as buggy.

http://eabmobile.abime.net/showthread.php?t=19733

maybe you try out memtrailer from aminet, that add cookies around a memalloc, maybe this work better.

It's look like this:

http://picasaweb.google.pl/radzikPL/Tornado3D#5462651454081319282

There are no buttons.

Should look like this:

Tornado 3D 2.1 is quite stable (both on 060, 603 and WinUAE).

It's AFA. On my A2000 with AFA Tornado3D have the same problem. When I uninstall AFA Tornado3D works as should.

WB3.5 icon transparencies
« Reply #24 on: April 24, 2010, 02:32:35 AM »
I noticed since installing AfA, 3.5 icons no longer have a transparency when dragging or when missing a matching .info (RAmiga-+ view in drawers.)

My LoadWB command does not have simplegels set, which if I understand correctly causes this in a standard installation.

Is this normal behavior?

EDIT: Before I get jumped, this may have been a feature of PowerIcons.  I am going to go check on some documentation -- it has been so long since I ran a vanilla installation of OS3.9 I simply cannot remember.

AFA was on on AmiKIT, and off on ClassicWB. Tornado3D v.2.1. I tried to find Tornado3D demo, but it's impossible to find it...

Yup.  I found that in the PowerIcons docs that it gives transparency to 3.5 while dragging, and also gives transparency to def icons.  I kinda liked that.

I see on your log that there should something load with newicon.library
I think this you need remove. What AOS you have ?

newicon.library is obsolete when you have OS3.5 and higher because this OS can show newicons with the Icon library.also AFA can show this newicons

newicon.library            Open            gadgets/gad.0000.info                                                          Read           OK
newicon.library            *Open           gadgets/gad.0000.info                                                          Read           OK
newicon.library            Lock            gadgets/gad.0000                                                               Read           Fail
newicon.library            *Lock           gadgets/gad.0000                                                               Read           Fail
n

""""

i see on your other log file, there is no entrie of newicon.library

>Yup. I found that in the PowerIcons docs that it gives transparency to 3.5 while >dragging, and also gives transparency to def icons. I kinda liked that.

I see only this in powericon readme (latest 1.06 Version Aminet)

""""
Once installed and launched correctly, PowerIcons adds transparent support
for PNG icons to the standard icon.library API. This means that you will be
able to fully handle PNG icons just as if they were standard Amiga icons.

.....

Since Workbench uses internal planar routines for icon dragging, it wasn't
possible to have it dragging true color imagery. A

......

Old-style amiga icons (planar icons) are simply NOT patched by choice.
No true-color remapping or ghost effect is applied in the case such an ugly
old icon is encountered and it will be passed to the original DrawIconState()
  as it is.

""""

SO no transparent 3.5 Icons and that powericons do no true color remapping is the reason that AFA iconlib is fastest, because no Pen remapping is need
