600 vs 1200

Can anyone elaborate to me the difference between an a600 and an a1200 (apart from the keyboard.)

Is an a600 as expandable?

I have an1200 but both the capacitors and the 44 pin ide mount need replacing. I was wondering whether I should buy a 1200 that's exactly what I want or slowly learn how to fix it. When I looked at the prices the 600's are so much cheaper but I think I'll stick with a 1200.
