Amedia Computer - New Products ;)
« on: August 09, 2015, 09:24:49 AM »
Hi everybody,

This has been a long time since our last news from the shop here ;)

First : we thank all of you who have ordered some products on our webshop or for your mails ;)

After that, we have put a facebook page online for our shop, which you can join HERE.

We're working on a plexiglass support for easily installing the HxC Slim SD card reader in the Amiga 500 / 600 / 1200 and ATARI STf, this project should be finalized in september and you can see some work in progress pictures on our facebook page ;)

Also, we have received some new products in stock :
- RyS MKII adapters for using most of USB mouse (wired or not) and USB Joysticks / Joypad on your Classic Amiga DB9 ports,
- Sum USB internal adapters for using most of USB keyboard (wired or not, internal original keyboard is NOT deactivated with this adapter).

Also, we have opened the pre-orders for the new ACA1221 accelerator's boards for your Amiga 1200 which will come with a 68020@16MHz, 9MB fastram, two clock ports and one floppy power supply port (for powering a RapidRoad board for example).
You can pre-order this product HERE right now !

For informations, we'll be also present with a stall at the Amiga 30 Germany meeting in october ;)
Thanks to Markus for inviting us ;)

At last, we're happy to welcome a new partner in the company : Franck 'Sheldon' Bednarski !
He's very interested in testing all possible Amiga products and he's mainly the guy behind the HxC Slim plexiglass support project !

Also, he loves Amiga as well as Atari, so, in the future, we'll try adding some products for Atari computers too ;)

Thanks to him for ll he does for the shop and espacially for the Amiga ;)

Thanks for all your support and don't hesitate visiting our webshop (english flag on the top right corner of the site) and our facebook page ;)

When does the Mechanical Keyboard come out? Also, is this a re-release from some years ago or is this Mechanical Amiga Keyboard for Classic Computers a new one? Thanks

@fondpondforever:
The mlecanical keyboard are made only on demand, so we have no stock on it.

It's the one made by Loriano Pagni with 'A' from Amiga printed directly in the keys, it's not some stickers at all.

Thanks for your comments, Laurent

Try using a WIRELESS USB keyboard on your Amiga for only 5 euros ??!!

Expensive for you, perhaps, but other customers are fully satisfied with it ;)

Thanks, Laurent

Haha, seriously dude?  Maybe some people like using a modern, ergonomic keyboard?  Personally I use an A4000 keyboard with my A2000, and a modern optical mouse, with scroll wheel, through an adapter.  It's good to have options.  Besides, these old keyboards won't last forever, and can be expensive when they come up on ebay.  To each their own, I suppose.  :p

Edit: people would b**** if there were no adapters available, and they b**** when there are adapters available.  Ya just can't win!  ;)

@Marcin1982:
It's your point of view, not the one from all people :)

More choices we have for our Classic Amiga, better it is ;)

@Kamelito: we have teste the RyS MKII with success for using a wireless mouse in the DB9 port.

Thanks, Laurent and Franck

Yes great idea. Sell a product for less than it costs to produce and distribute. Makes perfect economic sense.  All Amiga product producers should sacrifice their existence to low cost products and go out of business. Then get bagged for their business model.
Buy your cheap sh1t from china and don't complain when it fails a week later.....

These adapters certainly wouldn't be possible for that price.  The creator is doing something tricky with the USB stack INSIDE the little device.

That's not easy to do.  Add in to that an ability to save user preferences and a bootloader so that you can update the firmware, and I think we're getting a fair bit of tech for cheap.

Looking at the device, it seems to be using a PIC24FJ64GB002 microcontroller.  A very capable 16bit, 16MIPS little controller some crazy capabilities.  Even figuring out how to leverage this chip takes skill and time that I'm willing to pay for.

Given that it's also designed to be non blocking, I might have finally found a keyboard adapter that can keep up with my typing speed!

Same here. I bought a FPGA Arcade, complete system in miniITX case, which I received 2 weeks ago. I'm still in training wheels since I never used a Minimig before, but I'm really happy with both, the system and professional service given to me by Laurent.
