Floppy emulator (user interface) | ||

Description: Emulator allows to choose an ADF image from the flash media (SD/MMC card), then loads it into memory (legacy 4MB SIMM), converts it into MFM tracks and deliver these to Amiga's floppy bus. Amiga senses it as drive DF1:. I was able to perform DISKCOPY from DF1: to DF0: which gave me perfect Amiga floppy :-)

tnt23 Posts:195 | December 27, 2005, 07:36:50 PM Sorry, haven't seen your reply in my mailbox. Could you please resend it again? And what is that IPF format? UPDATE. Silly me, should've checked all private messages first :-) |

tnt23 Posts:195 | December 13, 2005, 09:31:09 AM Definitely. I thought of hacking a simple utility to convert 512-byted sectors from .ADF into some form of .MFM file on PC. Resulting file would be 1.8Megs, or roughly twice as big as .ADF. Shouldn't be a problem since MMC storage is quite cheap these days. Now it takes MCU good 1m45s to convert ADF into MFM, and 1.8M should load in less then one minute. |
orange Posts:2794 | December 12, 2005, 02:40:53 PM wow, a perfect replacement for DF0: would it be faster if the floppy images were stored in some other format than adf so that you don't need that conversion? |
