Back on topic... While I'm happy for any amiga development still remaining, and I can see the attraction to getting 4.1 on classic, I don't see the use...

The most powerful ppc upgrade cards for amiga classics are just too low spec to do anything on once the os is loaded. Great you can load workbench and adjust your prefs... Make a pretty workbench...But you can't even run milkytracker with 4 channels to edit amiga era mods, or anything else for that matter.

uhhh...what's wrong with OctaMED Sound Studio, ProTracker, Audio Evolution4, hell even 64 tracker programs that run great under OS4.1u2:confused:

& if it can run Timberwolf even with minimum a barebones setup man that's just stunning

Ok, I'm sure an English pound = an American dollar but what does a bob equal?

1 bob = 12d = 5p = 1 shilling = 4 thruppeny bits = 48 farthings = 1gn - 1L = half a florin = 3 groats = 2 tanners

btw 1 English pound equals about $1.56 (today at least) :-D

Mac Mini G4 (1.5GHz, 64MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.6
Powerbook 5.8 (15", 1.67GHz, 128MB VRam, 1GB Ram): MorphOS 3.8.

Windows-free since 2011-2014 (Damn you Netflix!)

You forgot 5 bob = 1 crown.  I miss the old £sd system...

These decimal things are just not the same....  We've still got the old six pence coins circulating here in Oz, they're labelled 5 cents  of course.  We also have the old shillings and florins, but they're just annoying in their weight and size now.  There's nothing you can buy for 10 or 20 cents.

I dunno, when I start it up, once booted my CPU meter docky thing shows it idling along at no more than 5% CPU use.

I think if there is a problem with the classic it is that most of the OS4 native software so far has been developed on faster systems and doesn't necessarily scale down well to 603 and secondly, the legacy 3.x software you might have for 68K doesn't necessarily run faster than it did on your real 68K and in some cases may run slower (such is the way with emulation, particularly on a CPU not orders of magnitude faster than the emulated one).
