My A1200 arrived in perfect condition (batch number two) and I am very happy with it. It is incredibly clean and shining white. Cardboard package is pretty good too, considering it is a hundred years old :) Actually, I would be quite satisfied if I bought anything brand new today in a store, and it was in this condition.
Works flawlessly too.

I am sure there are some units with some defects, but they are a minority. And a stroke of bad luck, really. If you go out and buy a 100 of brand new computer parts, some of them are bound to have some defect out of the box. So a couple of bad luck experiences should not discourage anyone who wants to buy a new A1200 from Petro.

I am really grateful to Petro for allowing me to have a brand new Amiga computer at this day and age :)
Glory to the loud-mouthed Scotsman !

Man, I dont like what I read. At all. Salute to Petro for making this happen, but if my Amiga arrives with any defects, I'll be very unhappy. Especially cause I had the opportunity to buy a really MINT, never been opened, Commodore A1200 with full packaging and accesories from Amiga Retro Expirience shop over at ebay for just a few euros more. Needless  to say that I  am more fond of original Commodore products than Escom, Amiga Technologies or what not ...

I paid for my Amiga almost two weeks ago.  My bank tells me that my payment has been received by the bank in Germany.  I have no confirmation from Petro that my payment has been received.  I have no idea if my Amiga has shipped or if it is still waiting to ship.  I do, however, have a "very large package" from Germany that will be delivered today.  Hopefully, it is my Amiga.

Got mine today.  In general terms I am okay with what I received, not excited or disappointed though. I've uploaded several pictures to flickr.

Beautiful system!  For a number of people complaining about the case having been opened, I think I recall reading that the keyboards had been swapped out from some crazy French AZERTY keyboards as part of the sale to the company in India.  And the brown stuff on the mouse cord, jesus, spray it with some Windex it should wipe right off.  I don't know what people have against keeping things clean, I've seen that goop on more old cables than I could count - still don't know what it is though!  :p

I am sorry for all this trouble I have caused.. I have the intention to  provide my Amiga Community without any profit a shipment of 17 years old  Amigas which I catched from India.. 99 % of those are in good  conditions and it was for me anyway a pain to organise all those favours  for the community.. Now I got the blame from a view people which I  appologize..
I am retired man with 70 years now and still would like to support the  Amiga community as a favour without profit.. I think it will be fair if  those people are speacking up in those forums which are happy and  satisfied and not only a view which are disupointed..

I'm very grateful to Petro for my new A1200, thank you so much for giving the community this chance and it shows why Amiga was and still is the best community.
I have loved the Amiga and it's computer since I was a young man, I still have my 2 Amiga 1200 from back then, now with the new one I think I might have secured my future amigause :-)

It's not just about the dirty mouse or some minor defects. There's people who had broken keyboards, or like me broken mouse and broken PSU. The fact that it can happen in 1% of the cases is a non sequitur, too; because if one bought something from a retail, he would get it replaced. So yes, people has every right to be upset if something went pear-shaped, because it means that money went down the drain. Not nice.

Again, people are buying 17 years old products, stored somewhere in India under unknown circumstances, then shipped back to Europe to be shipped again to the buyer. I know that people are disappointed if they get broken amiga but I am sure Petro will do his best to resolve these problems.

My NOS Amiga 1200 arrived on Friday which is much faster than I expected. It only took a week to ship all the way to Canada.

The Amiga is in excellent condition with no yellowing or discoloration. The box is slightly worn but still in decent shape. Overall it is in much better than anything I could possible find used. I am very happy with it and it will bring me years of enjoyment and nostalgia :)

Thanks Petro!

So, my A1200 arrived a few days ago.  Tested it out with an arcade game power supply, as I didn't have a 220v converter. Overall pretty happy with it.

This is the 2nd time I've purchased an amiga 1200 the first being in 1993. Brought that 1st system up to an 060/ppc tower + other goodies inside, but sold the lot a while ago for some pretty good money.

For this system, I'm considering the ACA'030.  This is a 1D4 rev motherboard PAL, I'll probably keep it PAL because I have a 1084 and Toshiba 20" TIMM multiscan and they both do PAL.

Question: 1D4 mobo's: Anyone have any problems with ACA on these boards? My 1st one was a 1D4 NTSC and never had any problems with several accel cards, including: Microbotics MBX 030, Apollo'040+SCSI, Blizz060/PPC+SCSI.

I have 6 left over 2.5" harddisks, 2 of which are about 1.5G so I'll probably chain those, but will likely go for the CF solution sometime later.

I am very happy with my nos 1200. The cables can be cleaned as said with ipa 95% or higher

I tried a dkb 1240 as well as a mtec accelerator with scsi, both work fine. I did not remove the shielding so dont know the revision.

very nice machine!

Danke Petro!

I wonder if any NTSC machines still exist for future sale.

I am trying to order one now.

If I get it, it will be the one I reserve for that Vampire A1200 that, maybe, someday will appear...

This will be my 3rd A1200! (including the original one I bought in 1994) and the first non Commodore Amiga I get.

... now I need a Commodore A1200 badge (hate any other...).
