Title: Amiga 1000 Keyboard Availability??
Post by: SportBikePilot on November 12, 2019, 05:23:34 PM
What is availability like on Amiga 1000 keyboards?

Anyone have one? Looking at an A1000 but it doesn't have a keyboard.

Any help? US preferably?

Thanks!

Chris

I found that working ones are tough to come by, but you could get an adapter and use the A2000/3000/4000 keyboards.

I had one and let it go cheap with a bundle. I guess I found it a bit Fisher Price if I'm honest compared to the A4000T keyboard or even a cheap AT keyboard from that time! But it fits in the A1000 keyboard bay so I know any A1000 owner would want it and it's mechanically a nice design. I probably should have kept it but you can never hoard everything.

The only ones I see now are all yellowed normally. Sad...

The guy who runs the Sacremento Amiga Computer Club (SACC) had at least 18 of them in late October for sale. His name is Brian and I will PM you his email address. Tell him Doug from 10 Minute Amiga Retro Cast referred you.

Wow I always loved the A1000 keyboard and wouldn’t mind using that on my A4000T(or at least one of them)...Are these new keyboards?

IIRC C= had a trade-in program where you could get an A2000(?) at reduced price in return for you A1000, though all you had to do was turn in your keyboard...

The A1000 keyboards are perfect for the CD32, if you make an adaptor, albeit the wrong colour the form factor is perfect.  ;)

Depends on my mood. Both of mine are 2007 Kawasaki's. Ninja 650R if I want a nice comfortable zippy ride, or Ninja ZX6R if I'm feeling competitive. ;)

Here in Southern California, we've got PLENTY of twisties and mountains to ride.

Here in Wisconsin we have a lot of twisties as well..  Our roads are beatup and they have a nasty habit of dumping dirt in the winter to fight the ice, so you need to stay on top of things!  IF we don't get enough heavy rain in the spring, the roads will still have a lot of sand on them and this is really nasty in the corners.

As they say, "Ride your own bike!"
