Not listened to this album for a while. Some of the mixes are hilarious!

I know what you mean franko.... but i guess i was in a sullen mood yesterday . i am in sunny texas with 80f temps so i don't have any grim winter yet :)
you may remember that song off ferris bueller where cameron stares at the painting.
I guess you scots stay drunk to keep the winter gloominess out?I certainly wouldn't blame you!

@ mechy

While I quite like '19', watching that video has just made me realize that we had some damn awful talent show's even back in the 80's...

(guess I won't be too hard on my nephew again the next time he's watching something like The X Factor or Britains Got Talent... :) )

Just received an email from my sister in America telling me that the Stiff Little Fingers video I uploaded to you tube can't be viewed... :(

Strange thing is, upon checking my YouTube account WMG has blocked this video worldwide yet I can still view it from here on Amiga.org but it seems no-one else can.

I've emailed WMG and will continue to do so letting them know my feelings on this matter. It's pathetic how these big companies block stuff like this and hoard all this old music in the desperate hope of still making a quick buck out of it.

If these greedy corporations had any sense they would allow folk to upload old tracks like this as it can only be of a benefit to them, as folk who have either never heard the music or band before or had forgotten about them are the only potential customers they may have for such stuff.

You would think that they would see this for what it is ie:free advertising, and not block these old tracks from the net as anyone who if they could actually listen to it may actually purchase the CD or MP3 if they could ever get the chance to hear it. :(

But no the stupid gits would rather keep the stuff locked away from the world and leave it to be forgotten, these big corporations really pee me off with their pathetic and stupid attitudes. :madashell:

Oh well, just another greedy corporation to add to my daily email rants, I wonder if they ever actually read them... :)

(Think I've found a way to stop them blocking things, be testing it out later today... )

Looking out of the window at the weather today, makes this great song by a bit mad but likeable group from the 70's spring to mind :)

EDIT

Oh sorry, I'm actually listening to the guy that Elvis called the greatest singer in the world..

Bono of U2 wrote this song and said to his band members "Doesn't this sound like a Roy Orbison song to you?". Then Bono met Roy by an amazing fluke and asked him to sing it :)

P.S.

I see that Bono tried to impersonate Roy Orbison and sing 'She's A Mystery To Me' himself at a concert, but came a bit unstuck as you can see
