AMOS
« on: December 29, 2002, 09:44:07 PM »
Does anybody know if there has ever been an improvement made to AMOS so it will run on machines with GVP 030 & 040 combos in them?

The latest version of AMOS is AMOS Professional 2.0 and can be downloaded at the new AMOS Factory web site.  I run this version on my A4000T with a 68060 board.  I'm not sure how well it runs on other accelerators.

I am in the process (even as I type) of creating a new portable AMOS compatible compiler  that will run on accelerated Amigas and other hardware.

To whom will you write?  Europress does not support AMOS any longer.  And the original author has moved on to other things.  I'm afraid that AMOS is not supported much anymore.  There were some people who released bug fixes and such a few years back, and those can be found at The AMOS Factory also, but the source code has not been updated in a couple of years.  I'd recommend downloading AMOS Pro 2.0 and patching it with the latest library from AMOS Factory.  If it still doesn't work with your hardware then I'm afraid your out of luck as far as the old AMOS compiler goes.  You can hold out for my updated complier if you wish.
